How to restore Internet Explorer favorites and settings

• I want to restore my Internet Explorer bookmarks/favorites and settings

Environment

• Windows
• Internet Explorer

Resolution

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click the star in the top right corner
3. Click the downward arrow next to the Add to Favorites button
4. Click Import and Export
5. Click import from a file and click next
6. Select which items you would like to restore
7. To restore favorites you must have backed up the .htm file by selecting favorites during the back up process
8. To restore feeds you must have backed up the .opml file by selecting feeds during the back up process
9. To restore cookies you must have backed up the .txt file by selecting cookies during the back up process
10. Click next
11. Click browse
12. Navigate to where you saved your back up file, select it and click open, you will be prompted to do this up to 3 times depending on what you selected in step 7
13. Click finish
