How to Invite People to a Team With a Link

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a link for staff and students to easily join a team.

Issue/Question

How can I invite people to join a Team using a link?

Environment

• Teams
• Office 365

Additional Details

 Note: Only Macomb staff and students can join via a Teams link; guest are not permitted.

Resolution

• Open Teams, Go to the Team you want to invite people to. 
• Select the 3 dots (ellipsis).

• Select Get link to team.

• Copy the link provided. Send the link to the person you want to invite to your team.

 Note: That person can simply paste the link into any browser to join the team.
