How do I delete a team within Microsoft Teams?

Additional Details

 Note: When you delete a team in Microsoft Teams, it will be removed from your Teams view, along with all associated chats, channels, and files.

Resolution

Method 1:

• Open Microsoft Teams
• Click on the Teams icon in the left-hand menu.

• Locate the team you want to delete, click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to the team name, and select Delete team.

• When the confirmation pop-up appears, check the box to confirm you understand, then click Delete Team.

Method 2:

• Open Microsoft Teams
• Click on the Teams icon in the left-hand menu.

• Select the team you want to delete to open its settings.
• In the left-hand menu next to the team name, click on the three dots (ellipsis) and choose Delete team.

• When the confirmation pop-up appears, check the box to confirm you understand, then click Delete Team.
