How do I hide/mute Microsoft Teams notifications?

Resolution

Hiding Microsoft Teams Notifications: 

  • Open Microsoft Teams.
  • Click the Microsoft Teams Settings (ellipsis - 3 horizontal dots) from the top right of the application.

  • Click the Notifications and activity option in the Settings ribbon.
  • Within the Display subcategory, uncheck the box for the Show message and content previews in notifications setting.
    • Note: Checking the box turns the option on. Unchecking the box turns the option off.

Muting Microsoft Teams Notifications:

  • Open Microsoft Teams.
  • Click the Microsoft Teams Settings (ellipsis - 3 horizontal dots) from the top right of the application.

  • Click the Notifications and activity option in the Settings ribbon.
  • Within the Display subcategory, uncheck the box for the Show message and content previews in notifications setting.
    • Note: Moving the slider to the left turns the option off. Moving the slider to the right turns the option on.
