How do I add or remove a pinned shortcut on the taskbar

Additional Details
If you have a broken shortcut, you will need to remove the pin before repinning the shortcut. To know if a shortcut is broken it will appear like a blank white paper and you will not be able to open the application from that area.
You can also search for a program by using the applications exe file of the application if it doesn't find the program. Below are some commonly used applications:
- Outlook: outlook.exe
- Word: winword.exe
- Excel: excel.exe
- PowerPoint: powerpnt.exe
- Publisher: mspub.exe
- Access: msaccess.exe
- One Drive: onedrive.exe
- One Note: onenote.exe
- Project: winproj.exe
- Visio: visio.exe
- Teams: msteams.exe
- Chrome: chrome.exe
- Edge: msedge.exe
- Firefox: firefox.exe
- ImageNow (not web based software): imagenow.exe
- Adobe: acrobat.exe
- Zoom: zoom.exe
- IP Communicator: On desktop in an open space right click select New -> Shortcut -> paste in this for the location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\Cisco IP Communicator\communicatork9.exe -> click Next -> change the name to your choice -> Finish. Open the application then pin the following instructions below.
Resolution
Add a Pinned Shortcut
- Search for the program you want to be pinned.
Note: You can also search for a program by using the applications exe file of the application if it doesn't find the program. See above for commonly used programs.
- Once the program is open a icon for the program will appear at the bottom. Right-click on the icon.
- Click Pin to taskbar.
Remove a Pinned Shortcut
- Right-click on the icon on the taskbar that you would like to remove.
- Click Unpin from taskbar
