Resolution

Rooms equipped with an XP-Pen drawing tablet on the instructor desk, is intended to support annotation, design work, and high-precision drawing. All instructors teaching in these rooms should complete CTL training before using the space.

Faculty can use the room in a traditional manner with the keyboard, mouse, and classroom computer. However, instructors who plan to use the drawing tablet should budget additional time outside of CTL training to become comfortable with its operation and workflow.

A few important notes regarding the drawing tablet:

  • The tablet cannot be operated with a finger. The included pen must be used for navigation and drawing.
  • Please ensure the pen remains in the room, as replacement pens are not readily available.
  • When the pen hovers above the screen, a pointer will appear, similar to moving a mouse without clicking.
  • When the pen touches the screen, it functions similarly to holding down the left mouse button.
  • Tapping the screen with the pen performs a standard left-click.
  • Pressing and holding the pen against the screen for approximately 1-2 seconds performs a right-click.
