How to Locate your Printer's P Number

Issue/Question

I want to locate my printers P number.

Environment

• MCC Owned Printers
• RICOH combined fax/copier/printers will NOT have a P#

Resolution

Method 1: Locate the Printer Number on the Machine.

• P numbers are applied directly on the printer using a stencil or a white MCC asset tag. Each MCC-owned printer will have a unique P number for purposes of identification starting with the letter P and followed by 4-5 digits. Example: P#12345.

Method 2: Find the Printer Number by Printer Mappings.

• Select the Start Menu.

• ​​​​​​Type in Printers & Scanners.

The 'Printers & Scanners' window will show the printers you are currently mapped to.

• Select the desired printer.
• Select Manage. 

• Select Printer Properties.

• Under the comments section, you will see the P number of the printer.
