How to Map a Department Share Drive

- I want to learn how to map a department share drive
Environment
- MCC owned computer
- Windows
Resolution
- Click on the Windows logo in the lower-left corner of the screen to open the start menu.
- Type This PC into the search box.
- Click on the This PC icon.

- Right-click in the white space.
- Select Add a network location from the drop-down menu.


- Click Choose a custom network location then click Next.

- In the Internet or network address field type \\mcc.local\departments.
- Click Browse.

- In the menu that pops up, click on departments.
- Click on the drive that you want to map to under departments.
- Click Ok.

- With the full path for the drive now entered, click Next.

- Type in a name for the new network drive.



- The new network drive will be added as a folder under Network Locations.

- You are now able to access the network drive through the link you just created
