I want to reset my Cisco desk phone
Environment
- Cisco Desk Phones
- On-campus
Resolution
- Unplug the Ethernet cable from the network port
- Wait 30 seconds
- Plug the cable back in
Cisco phone (79xx series):
- The cable you need to re-seat is the one plugged into the 10/100 SW port. In the image above, you can see that the 10/100 SW port is the one with a cable plugged into it.
Cisco phone (88xx series):
The cable you need to re-seat is the one plugged into the network port. In the image above, you can see that the network port is the one with a cable plugged into it.
