Using Papercut Web Print

Can I upload a document and print from the web?

Environment

  • PaperCut

Additional Details

This option is only avaiable if you are on a Macomb network. Either by logging into VPN (if Staff) or Macomb's wifi (Msecure, MyMacomb, or Mguest).

Resolution

  • Select WebPrint from the left menu. This page will also show stats about your printing history.

  • Select Submit a job.

  • Select a printer to print to. Please see below and explanation of different options.
    • Students: Use one of the following: s-app-0001\B&W-Papercut (virtual) and s-app-0001\Color-Papercut (virtual)
    • Employees: Use s-app-0001\Employee-Papercut (virtual)
    • English Students by the Printer in SF308: Use s-app-0001\SF308R1 
  • Select Print Options and Account Selection.

  • Enter the number of copies you want. 
  • Select Upload Documents.

  • You can drag the documents or select Upload from computer.

 Note: Under this box, it says the file types it accepts which are the following: PDF pdf Picture Files bmp, dib, gif, jfif, jif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff. These are the only file types it accepts. These are the only file types it accepts. If you have other file types, you will need to save them as pdf or one of the supported types in order to upload and print. 

  • Select Upload & Complete.

  • You will then be taken to the print job and status page. 

 Note: Print jobs are cleared out every 4 hours.
