Bypass the Windows Defender Smart Screen File Block

Issue/Question

I'm getting an error that says Windows protected my PC due to Windows Defender Smart Screen, how do I bypass it?

Environment

  • Windows

Resolution

  • Right-click on the file.
  • Select Properties.

  • At the bottom of the screen check off the box that says Unblock. 
  • Click OK.
  • Re-run file.
