How to Approve a Ticket Request

How do I approve a ticket that needs my approval in TeamDynamix?

Resolution

Method 1: Approval Email

You will receive an email from TeamDynamix asking for approval. 

  • You can click on the title of the ticket (located after Service Request and ticket number) to view the details about the ticket or you can select Approve or Reject this Workflow Step.

 Note: The instructions continue below Method 2: Portal.

Method 2: Portal

  • Navigate to the TeamDynamix Portal.
  • On the menu bar, select Services.
  • On the menu below the main menu, select My Approvals.

  • Select the Step title to be taken directly to the approval screen. 
  • Select the Item title to be taken to more details about the ticket. 

  • To view all approvals you can select the Status option at the top. 
  • Check off which statuses you want to view. 

 

 Note: Instructions for Email or Portal are Now the Identical 

  • If you would like to see the details of the ticket before approving select the title of the ticket under the Service Request header.

  • If you scroll down on the details page you can see all the details that the requestor input into the form. 
  • To go back to the approval page select the Current Workflow Step title. 

  • If you selected the option to go straight to the approval screen you will be taken to below. Select Approve or Reject. 

  • Once you select Approve or Reject you will receive a comments box. Enter any details that should be in the ticket. 
  • Click Save.

 Note: The requestor will not receive these notes. CIT will be able to see any comments.

  • Once Approve or Rejected, you will see the status of the Approval Step Details change, and at the top of the page, you will see text at the top that the step was approved or rejected.
