End User License Agreement (EULA) Compliance and Software Installation Process

Issue/Question

What is the process for getting an end-user license agreement (EULA) approved and installed on a College-owned device?

Environment

  • Software
  • College Owned Devices

Resolution

In adherence to the Computer Systems and Equipment Configuration Management Standard section 7.3, all software end user license agreements must undergo an approval process by the College's General Counsel before being installed on any College-owned device. This process ensures compliance with established guidelines and guarantees the appropriate legal and operational considerations are taken into account.

To start the review process for a software end user license agreement (EULA) please fill out the following form: Review End User License Agreement (EULA).

Upon successful approval of the EULA, you will need to fill out the software request form for IT to evaluate the software. If the IT department approves the request, they will procure the necessary licenses and assist with the installation on your device.

If you have any additional questions on this process please contact the Service Desk at 586-445-7156.
