- What will the Windows 11 update look like?

Please note that this update could take up to 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours maybe longer depending on the Internet connection and other factors.
To get the update to Windows 11 you must have a G6 or newer model of computer.
To verify if you are eligible for upgrade to Windows 11:
Search for System Information in the search box.
Once that appears find the System Model. It must say G6 at the end or higher. If it says G5 or lower the computer is not eligible for upgrade.
Resolution
- When you receive the Windows 11 download it will come through what looks like normal updates like below. To learn more about the upgrade and verify if it is Windows 11 click the update box. The date may be different than the example below.
- You can pick a time, restart tonight, or restart now.
Note: This update can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours maybe longer depending on the Internet connection and other factors.
- After you get the initial update options if you do not update with that update you might get the following box to update.
Note: If you bypass any of these prompts to update you will be forced to update on the date shown on the pop ups.
To confirm that this update is the Windows 11 Update you can go to the update screen to see what updates are pending.
- In the search box search for Check for Updates.
- On that screen, you will see the updates available to you. As you can see below it says Window 11, version 22H2 with the date it's required.
- When you are ready you can schedule the update from the popup or you can do it from the Check for Updates screen. Once you have started the update you will get a screen like this until the update is completed.

- Once complete it will reboot for the last time and then ask you to log into the machine. Once you log in you will be shown another page where you are asked to wait while it sets up your computer with Windows 11. Once this is completed your computer will be ready to use.
