How do I access Gartner Research Portal?

Gartner, Inc. is a well-known American research and consulting firm specializing in technology-related insight, advice, evaluation templates, and maturity evaluation tools. As a long-standing Gartner client, the College’s IT team regularly uses Gartner’s research and advisory services to make well-informed decisions about IT strategy, technologies, purchases, and industry trends.
While much of the research focuses on specific technologies (such as cybersecurity, software/hardware ranking, and applicability), thousands of research notes might appeal to the non-technical reader. For example, hundreds of articles on leadership, communication, and the specific IT trends impact higher education.
The same research library the College’s IT uses is now available to all active Macomb employees and students using their Macomb credentials. It is a treasure trove of information that we hope you find useful.
To register for the Gartner Portal:
- Visit Gartner Portal. The first time you visit you will need to fill some information about your job at Macomb as well as interests.
- Select I agree to the Gartner Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Optional: if you would like to join the Peer Community check that off as well.
- Click Save and Continue.
- Fill out the fields related to your position at Macomb.
- Select Save and Continue.
- Customize your experience by selecting categories that fit with your interests.
- Click Save and Continue after selecting 3 categories.
- Once you have filled out all the information requested you will be taken to the Gartner Portal that is customized for your interests and position.
