How do I locate the MAC address on a Cisco 8xxx series desk phone?
Environment
- Cisco 8xxx series desk phones
Resolution
Method 1: Using Desk Phone Menu Settings if the Phone is Receiving Power
- Press the gear setting button which is located on the bottom left of the desk phone.
- On the settings Applications screen, select option 6 titled Admin Settings either using the arrows circular button beneath the screen or by pressing the number 6 button.
- In Admin Settings, select option 1 titled Ethernet setup using the arrows circular button beneath the screen or by pressing the number 1 button.
- In Ethernet setup, locate the third option in the list that is titled MAC address.
Method 2: Turning Desk Phone Over if the Phone is Not Receiving Power
- Turn the phone over, and locate the MAC address on the right hand side.
