How do I Install Office 365 Locally on my Macomb Issued Computer?

Can I install office 365 locally on my College-owned computer?

Resolution

If you have Office 2016 currently installed, you will need to uninstall the office 2016 suite before installing Office 365 Local. 

Method 1: Remove Office through Software Center

  • Open Control Panel.
  • Click on the Windows button in the bottom left corner of the screen to bring up the start menu.
  • Type Software Center in the search box and hit enter.

  • Click Office 365 March 2023.

  • Click Uninstall.

 

Method 2: Remove Office through Control Panel

  • Open Control Panel.
  • Click on the Windows button in the bottom left corner of the screen to bring up the start menu.
  • Type Control Panel in the search box and hit enter.

  • Select Uninstall a Program under the category view and Programs and Features under the icon view.

  • Select Microsoft Office from the list of programs.
  • Right-click and select the Uninstall option.

  • Click Uninstall, to verify the removal of the software. 

  • Once it has completed you will get a confirmation page. Click Close. 

Install Microsoft Office 365 Local

  • Close the Control Panel.
  • Click on the Windows button in the bottom left corner of the screen to bring up the start menu.
  • Type Software Center in the search box and hit enter.

  • Click Office 365 March 2023.

  • Click Install.
