How to Find a Teams Enabled Conference Room

Issue/Question

How do I find a conference room that already has Team's equipment in the room?

Environment

  • Teams
  • Conference Rooms

Resolution

Method 1: While Scheduling a Meeting

  • Open Outlook.
  • Go to the Calendar.

  • Open a New Teams Meeting in Outlook menu.

  • Click on Scheduling Assistant in the menu bar.

  • Click on Add Rooms. Add Rooms is located on the bottom left of the scheduling assistant screen.

  • Look for Rooms that have Teams after the room location. These rooms have the equipment already set up in the room for Teams.

  • To add to your invite you can double click the room or click on the room and then select Rooms button for it to add to the invite. This will allow you to verify the room is available for your scheduled meeting.
  • Click OK.

  • Verify the room is available for the scheduled meeting by adding it to the invite.

 

Method 2: Searching in Address Book

  • Open Outlook.
  • Open Address Book from the menu bar.

  • Use the Address Book drop-down to select All Rooms.

  • Look for Rooms that have Teams after the room location. These rooms have the equipment already set up in the room for Teams. 

 Note: To verify if the room is available you will have to check availability in the scheduling assistant shown in method 1.
