How to Check for Updates on Windows 10

How do to check for updates on my Windows 10 machine?

Environment

• Windows 10

 Note: If you are working off-site (not on campus) please connect to Global Protect VPN before following the steps below. 

• How to access Global Protect VPN

Resolution

• On the bottom left side of the computer, search for updates.
• Select Check for updates.

• Click Check for updates. Your computer will also show the date and time of when it was last updated. 

• If there were any updates available, they will begin to download automatically. It may have you reboot and sometimes reboot more than once. After each reboot come back to this screen and check to make sure you are up to date.
