Why can't I open a file or files from a shared drive? When I try, I only get a blank screen.

Shared Drives
Resolution
Microsoft Windows has a character limit of 256 characters for a file, this character limit includes folder paths as well.
Example: \\mcc.local\xxxxxxx\xxxxxxx\
To resolve the issue, ensure that the total folder path is shorter than 256 characters.
