Deleting Auto-Complete List in Outlook

How do I delete an email address from my auto-complete list?

Environment

• Outlook 2016

Additional Details

This may need to be done if you have previously sent to an email address that is incorrect. 

Resolution

Method 1: Remove a single email address

• Open Outlook
• Open a New Email

• Start typing in the email address you want to clear out.
• Click the X next to the name

Method 2: Remove all Auto-Complete email addresses

• Open Outlook
• Click File

• Click Options from the left-hand side

• Click the Mail option
• Scroll down to find Send Messages options
• Click Empty Auto-Complete List
