Change Ringer Sound in Webex to Play from Computer

Issue/Question

I want to change my ringer audio to play from my computer rather than my headset.

Environment

  • On campus and remote 

Resolution

Please refer to the steps in the table below.

  • Click on the speaker icon in the bottom right of the taskbar.

          

  • Click the sound device bar to open which devices can be used.

  • Choose the Realtek speaker option.

 
  • Click on the three icons in the lower right of your taskbar.

  • Click the "select a sound output" button.

     

  • Choose the Realtek speaker option.

 

Next, make sure your audio settings are correctly chosen with Web. This can be done within the single-call window or the multi-call window.

  • Click on your initials in the top left of the window.

  • In the profile drop-down box, click the Settings button.

  • Click the audio tab and change settings that match what you are using.
  • Click the gear icon in the top right of the window.

  • Click the audio tab and change the audio settings to match what you are using.
