I want to learn how to map a department share drive
Environment
MCC owned computer
Windows
Resolution
Click on the Windows logo in the lower-left corner of the screen to open the start menu.
Type
This PC
into the search box.
Click on the
This PC
icon.
Right-click
in the
white space
.
Select
Add a network location
from the
drop-down
menu.
Click
Next.
Click
Choose a custom network location
then click
Next.
In the
Internet or network address
field type
\\mcc.local\departments.
Click
Browse.
In the menu that pops up, click on
departments.
Click on the
drive
that you want to map to under departments.
Click
Ok.
With the full path for the drive now entered, click
Next.
Type in a name
for the new network drive.
Click
Next.
Click
Finish.
The new network drive will be added as a folder under
Network Locations.
You are now able to access the network drive through the link you just created
