How to Map a Networked Printer

How do I map to a network printer?

Environment

• MCC Owned Computers on the administrative network

Resolution

• Make sure you have the network name of the printer. These are usually found on a printed label on the printer itself. It may be on the top, the front of the side of the printer. See the picture for example.

If you are unable to locate a label for the printer, please contact the Service Desk.

•  In your Search Bar, type \\print and press Enter on your keyboard. This will open the printer list.

• Locate your printer in the list, right-click it, and then click Connect.... The printer will then download the driver, and then install.

• To verify that the printer has been installed, check your Devices and Printers page.
