How do I connect to Remote Desktop Services?

Environment

• Remote Desktop Services

Resolution

  Note: To access Remote Desktop Services you must be connected on-campus or connected to the VPN. To connect to the VPN use the following KB articles: Article - Connect to the Vendor GlobalProtect/VPN  Article - Accessing VPN with GlobalProtect

• Navigate to https://rdweb.macomb.edu/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx
• Enter your User name and Password.
• Click Sign in. 
  •  Note: Please put mcc\ before your user name otherwise you will receive an error of "You must enter a valid domain name."

 

• Once signed in, you can access the resources assigned to your account. Resources may be nested inside of folder.

 

 

• Click on the resource you would like to use. This will start a download for the .rdp file. 
  •  Note: Depending on the browser you may receive an alert that the file might be suspicious. Please select the option that downloads the file

 

• Once downloaded, open the file. A new window will appear asking to trust the publisher.
• Click Connect.
  •  Note: Verify publisher is *.macomb.edu and that the "Name" is the correct application you selected.

 

• When prompted, enter your credentials to connect and load the application.

 

 

• The application will now appear on your desktop. You may go back to the webpage to load additional applications.
